In the interests of patients, we have numerous methods of making an
appointment to make the process of seeing your doctor as easy as possible.
Booking A Routine Appointment
You may book a routine appointment by either coming in to the surgery or by
the following methods. We have a variety of different appointments available
other than general clinics which are, on the day, 24hrs, 48hrs and advice
bookings.
1) Booking over the phone
You may book a routine appointment with doctor or nurse by calling the
surgery within the open times of the surgery. Appointments will be offered
within the following times
General Clinic Times
8.00am - 1.00pm
4.00pm - 6.45pm (7.15pm on Mondays)
We release appointments 1 week in advance for GPs on a Monday morning.
We release appointments approximately 3 weeks in advance for nurses on Monday
morning.
2) Booking via Email

.Please bear in mind that even though we aim to monitor
the admin inbox during opening hours, heavy email loads will restrict us from
responding to you immediately. For this reason, you may not book an urgent
appointment or home visit over email.
3) Booking Online
A new feature in the NHS allows us to provide you with the ability to book
an appointment in real time direct to our appointment list - essentially cutting
out the middle man.
This feature called EMIS Access is available only to fully registered patients
on our list. To use this feature, register with our website either request your
patient status from us or patient credentials needed to log into the EMIS Access
screen, found on the orange bar of our website.
Using EMIS Access will only allow you to book routine appointments with a
doctor, you will need to call the surgery to book an appointment for an urgent
appointment, home visit or nurse appointment.
Booking An Urgent Appointment
Urgent appointments are appointments released and booked via the telephone
from 8am, allocated on a first come first served basis. An urgent appointment
will be booked with the on call doctor of which could be any of the GPs. There
are urgent appointments for the nurses every morning and also on Monday and
Thursday evenings with the GPs.
Home Visits
Whenever possible please attend the surgery as this saves valuable time.
Patients who think they may require a home visit should telephone as early as
possible during the day.
You will be given a telephone appointment with one of the doctors to discuss
your request.
